| ___ "Wonnan Escape" is a cosy 3-bedroom house in the rural community of Tawonga South, only 2km from the town centre of Mt Beauty. It's an ideal place for a holiday all year round, especially in winter due to its proximity to Falls Creek alpine resort. The house is comfortable and well-maintained with all the amenities you might expect including fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, tumble drier, clothes-line, big-screen TV, DVD/CD player, A/V inputs for mobile devices (laptop, phone, mp3, iPod, etc), Coonara wood heater, air-conditioner, front deck with under-cover BBQ and mountain views. There are two "double" bedrooms with queen-size beds and a "bunk room" with three single beds. The house sleeps a maximum of seven (7) people. Attractions As well as snow sports in the nearby alpine areas during winter, activities in and around Mt Beauty include bush-walks and hiking, mountain-bike riding, road cycling, kayaking (river and lake), trout fishing, winery tours and food adventures, paragliding and light aircraft joy flights, cooling off in rock pools (Kiewa River), scenic drives, picnics, 4-wheel driving, horse trail rides, golf, spa and massage therapies, and more. Bookings Please send an email enquiry to check house availablity for the period of your stay, or check the booking calendar on Stayz' website. Bookings may be made via email (address below) or with Stayz. If you want to pay by credit card, you will need to book through Stayz. An invoice will be sent to you with booking and payment details. Note that bookings made via private email will avoid the "service fee" charged by Stayz. Transport Total journey time from Melbourne to Mt Beauty by road is about five hours, including a couple of 15 minute breaks. V/Line operates a train-plus-coach service between Melbourne (Southern Cross) and Bright (28km from Tawonga South) via Wangaratta every day.
